There’s this guy that texted me online. Sometimes last year we got talking and all. From the very beginning, he made it known to me that he has a girl but she’s out of the country. He stays in Abuja, so we didn’t link up until 3 months. Before we met, he was all sweet, always texting, being there, always wanting to know how my day went, being attentive to me, sends me money even though he doesn’t earn much, which is not even a problem as long as he’s trying, I’m good. Fast forward to when we met, we really clicked and enjoyed each other’s company. You know, this fear of your talking stage not reaching out to you after the first meeting came on within me, but I didn’t let it get to me that much because in my mind, I was like whatever the outcome is, we move. Fast forward to after we met, and to date, man’s still been there for me.
A day doesn’t go by without us being in touch. Now the thing is, he stopped sending money. Note: I can sort my bills. I’ve got one or two things I do to afford the kind of life I want. But I’ve just been wondering why he stopped sending money. As I said, he doesn’t earn much, but right before we met, he gave me the little he could and I really did appreciate it. The only thing is I don’t get why he doesn’t send money like he used to. Is it that he feels that the money he was giving me was little, probably because I’m independent, or he just wants me to ask? It’s not like I’m being entitled or something. I’m actually not used to asking; even in my previous relationship, I didn’t have to ask before I got anything. So maybe I just expect it to be like that in whatever situationship. What’s your take on this?
