Please help me. My mother is always borrowing money from loan apps. She has been doing it since 2021. There was one she did then that they sent her picture to all her contacts, including me. My husband cried that day, asking her what exactly she wanted. She collected one cooperative loan as well in 2022 (my husband is still paying that money till now, N50k monthly). Last year too, she did the same thing; my husband paid the loan app again, warned her not to do such again, and she promised. She even deleted all those apps on her phone. Last week, I received a message from a loan app again with her name written boldly that she should return their money. He was so pissed that he called her not to involve her with anything again. His mind couldn’t take it, so he went to see her today, and now this woman has borrowed money from three different loan apps again. Everything is over N300k.
PS: This woman is always borrowing money from either me or my husband every month. Like last month, she borrowed 150k from me and only returned N100k. It was her son that ended up paying the rest. He’s always giving her monthly allowance aside from her petty “I need N10k, N20k.” And her husband is also trying, so we don’t know what she’s using all this money for. I’m ranting here because I’m tired. A woman who has shame won’t be doing such because she knows she’s spoiling her family’s image, but she doesn’t care. I called my mum, and she said I shouldn’t say anything; in fact, I should be begging my husband to keep paying because they’ll put everything on my head if he doesn’t pay. This last money she borrowed was paid from our savings for relocating out of this country.
