I’m a 25-year-old lady dating a 35-year-old guy. We started dating around September last year, and I had been single for over 3 years before I finally decided to try again. My boyfriend is a Christian, and I have always wanted someone as spirit-minded and serious in the things of the Lord as him, but I’m starting to have second thoughts about him because he doesn’t practice what he preaches (his heart is too strong). It was on Valentine’s Day, and I posted a video from a shoot I went for (did I forget to mention that I’m into modeling?). It was a couple shoot, it was a repost from my agency, and when he saw the video, he commented, and I replied with an emoji. That night I got back late from my shoot, and I knew he’d be at church, so I messaged him to call me after service.
He didn’t call me. The next day, being the 15th, I went for another shoot, but I called him when I got home at night, and he wasn’t sounding his usual self. He called me on the 16th only to ask me what was going on between me and the male model. This is someone who has seen the video so many times before I even posted it, he said he related it with some people, and they told him I definitely had something to do with the other guy (I hate third parties). At first, I apologized for posting the video, and I told him that he would have told me, and I would have taken it down. But then he started accusing me of cheating on him. I have never cheated on anyone I have ever dated, and I felt offended by what he said, and I asked him if he doesn’t trust me, why are we even together?
He didn’t apologize for what he said, and he hasn’t called me since then, and I didn’t call him either because I’m always the one making a move to settle anytime there’s an issue, and I think he’s used to me always making the move first. My purpose for ranting now is, should I just delete his number and move on? How will you go close to 2 weeks without calling someone you claim to love after insulting the person? Should I move on, or should I still give it some time?
