How do you people handle politics? My girlfriend’s family are members of churches that don’t do politics or even vote. So, political talk is minimal and must be done with respect in their house. I went for dinner and ended up arguing with my girlfriend’s brother-in-law and said some bad words to him. We laughed it up, but this girl called to break up with me that night, and she even blocked me. I really love her, and she is everything a man wants in life, her family too will not be a liability because they stand on their own. I have already called to apologize to her family, and she unblocked me. But she told me that she can’t be with a man who can’t control his words or emotions. What if that was a dinner with colleagues or prospective clients? Would I act so disrespectfully? I only insulted the brother-in-law, but according to her, I disrespected her sister and her parents too.
