My current boyfriend and I have been together since 2020. Everyone around me told me we wouldn’t last, even my ex-toxic friends who were busy crushing on him and sneaking to his place weren’t in support. While we were in the relationship, during that Corona time, we were together for 2 years straight. He didn’t give me a dime, he treated me like trash, yet I was still with him. He denied me and called me all sorts during Corona. I was at home throughout, I didn’t even cheat while he was busy having fun of his life. I felt it was distance and all until when we both saw and he showed me even more pepper. When I thought of leaving him for another man who took care of me, he then came back and manipulated the whole thing till I was back with him.
The journey continued and we are sha clocking 5 years this Feb. Last year, I wasn’t serious with him but he began taking things seriously. I was shocked at how he changed and all. Now we are together, and I have been doing ‘no cheating’ and ‘pure loyalty’. However, I am scared. I don’t know if I should trust him because we’ve been through a lot together. I’m not just sure maybe he loves me because you know how social media says ‘It’s not how long you’ve been with the person, but how well’. Please, what’s your opinion? I’ll be in the comment section.
