Workplace Brawl

My boss has been saying all sorts of things about me to my colleague, both true and lies. She was telling me all those things, but she suddenly stopped telling me, and that was when I realized he was getting into her head already. We had issues recently, and I did not like the way she spoke to me and acted, so I was pissed. I could have spoken to her about it, but she is very lousy, and I don’t want to shout, so I decided to speak to my boss about it. My boss asked me to call her and repeat everything I said to him in her presence. I felt somehow because I am 7 years older than this girl, and he knows it, though we are on the same level. I did as I was told, and while talking, she was making annoying side comments, and I started shaking (I have a hot temper).

I wanted to leave the office. I didn’t know what came over me, and I slapped her, resulting in a very dirty fight. Meanwhile, she has already told my boss about this issue, and he didn’t call me to ask what happened. My boss didn’t do anything during the fight but watched us. After the fight, she said there was more to what got me angry, and I sincerely don’t know what she was talking about. It was that same day I realized it seemed my boss took her out on her birthday but didn’t on mine. I didn’t know, and if I knew, he already said it in my presence, and it’s none of my business since I know why he is doing those things to her. I was once in her shoes, but when I realized what he was trying to do, I decided to stop. I am going through some personal issues, and the office has been my haven; it has turned into hell for me now.

This girl can be really annoying, so I don’t know what to do. My boss has told this girl all the things I told him when we were close, and now she is using them against me. I don’t know what to do anymore. Please, I need mature advice from you guys. I am tired of this life; nothing is actually working in my favor. Everybody and everything has turned against me. I also hope this girl can see what my boss is doing to her. I hope she does not do anything she will regret later. NB: My boss, who is doing all these things to my colleague and me, is a well-respected religious leader.
