I have been dating my boyfriend for a year and some months now, and I notice that he doesn’t put me first or second in terms of finances. He doesn’t even give me money unless I ask, and when I do, he may give it or tell me he doesn’t have any now, expecting money soon. As soon as the money comes, he attends to every other thing but me. If the money finishes before it gets to me, then there’s obviously nothing for me. But if I’m lucky, sometimes I get N5k or N10k. I’ve noticed this behavior for some while now, and I don’t know whether to say he’s stingy or he doesn’t want to spend on me because he knows I have my own money. I have a business where I see little change, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t give me. I’m not feeling entitled or anything, but at least he should be able to give me money once in a while without me asking for it.
