Good day, house. I’m 24, and I’m in a relationship with a very sweet guy, so thoughtful and caring. He loves me unconditionally, but there’s a little challenge. He’s a very devoted Muslim, while I’m a Christian. Initially, I didn’t have a problem with it when I said yes to being his girlfriend because I felt it was just for dating’s sake, and I had it at the back of my mind that it wouldn’t lead to anything. But guys, with the look of things, he wants a future with me, and trust me, I also want that. I don’t want to lose him too. I have a neighbour whose husband is a Muslim while she and her children go to church, and the man solely practises his religion. I like to use my neighbours as a case study, not until I had a discussion with him and he said he’ll want to raise his children as Muslims, and they will bear Muslim names. But me, I can practise mine, and he’s not forcing his religion on me. My parents, especially my mum, once hinted that I shouldn’t bring a Muslim home. Aside from that, I don’t want my children to become Muslims. I just want only him to practise his religion alone. I really don’t know what to do.
