I met a guy on my street while I was on my way to the market. He ran to where I was and told me he was driving by, then stopped when he saw me. He said he couldn’t ignore me, so he had to park his car at a filling station because it was a one-way road. He claimed he was even far away from where he had parked. Then he asked for my number, and I gave it to him because I felt for him and thought he must have really wanted my number. Ever since then, he tried having conversations with me, but I’m the type who doesn’t really like having conversations with guys, so I always ignored him. Then he saw me another time while he was driving by again and told me I barely replied to his texts or answered his calls. I told him I would change, which I truly did. We became a bit close and entered the talking stage after two months. We went on a date and asked each other questions. I remember asking him if he was single. He told me he was, and vice versa. I told him I was single too.
I told him how I had been hurt by guys. In my first relationship, there was no vibe. The second guy ghosted me. The last one was a situationship I ended because he told someone who liked me about me in a demeaning way. I told him all this and continued the relationship, even though there was no tag on it yet, but I was already liking him. Fast forward to the betrayal part: after sleeping with me, two weeks later was when this guy decided to tell me he had once been married and had a child. He only told me because his ex-wife was pregnant with another baby. I told him, “But I asked if you were single and asked you to tell me about yourself.” This guy told me I only asked if he was single, not married. I was short of words. I was just laughing. I stopped contacting him and blocked him. We saw each other three weeks after the incident, only for this fool to tell me he had been calling me and I did not answer, and that we were not kids and were both mature enough to put our differences aside.
I told him he should never play that maturity game with me. It’s like he is mad. Is it because I did not change it for him the last time? I told him he was even meant to apologise to me for hurting me emotionally and mentally. Ever since then, he has tried texting me about twice with different numbers, but I never replied.
