Hello, everyone, and I hope everyone is fine too. I need advice from everyone. I am a 26-year-old graduate and working lady, trying to feed myself and also take care of my younger ones. During the middle of last year, one of my uncles, based in the UK, from my dad’s side, got my contact from my dad, and we reconnected normally. He checks on us, and I check on him too through text. He has also been helping me financially. I have health issues, so I take medication every month. He helps with that too and also paid for all my treatment, just as my father would. We were okay. My father and mother are also doing very well. Every time my uncle helped me financially, I always made sure I told my parents so they could help me thank him. After some months, he told me not to tell anyone whenever he helped me, which I thought was normal. Two weeks later, he told me he wanted to tell me something. He first asked if I was secretive and if nobody had access to my phone. I said yes and told him to talk because he was safe. Then he said he wasn’t helping me for nothing.
He said he was helping me because he wanted something between us. He said he was coming to Nigeria and nobody would know. He said he wanted to lodge me in a hotel and have s€x with me, and not only him, but also a friend of his. I was surprised and heartbroken because I never expected such from someone I called my uncle. I told him I could never do such. He asked if I had a boyfriend. I told him no, and I also lied that I was a virgin just to scare him away because it was hard for me to believe such words were coming from him. He said if I agreed, they would send me 5 million naira each. He also promised to help my younger sister with her education, help my father more, and establish me in a very big way. I kept this secret for two months before privately telling my mum everything. She told me never to reply to him again, and ever since then, my mum has been sick and worried because she has high blood pressure. He keeps texting me, and I keep telling him I can’t do such. I have screenshots and recordings of everything he has been saying. Later, during December, he sent everyone money and credited me too.
He asked me to send my nud£ pictures to him, and he has been threatening me ever since. He said he would do anything to me. Later, I pretended to play along just to hear more from him. I told him I had accepted, so he should come to Nigeria. Then he said, didn’t I know some children in the family that he had helped to travel abroad? He even told me he had slept with my cousin. She’s no longer in Nigeria. He was the one who helped her parents too, but my cousin never said anything. I asked him why he wanted to do such to me. He said it was nothing. He said he is like a father to me and just wanted to check if I was truly a virgin. I have all the evidence with me. My mum and I told my dad, and he has been very angry ever since. I have been pleading with him not to make it public yet, but my father is not someone who takes things lightly. I changed my number because of him. He couldn’t reach me, so he called my dad today and said he just wanted to hear from me and that they should greet me. He also said this was not his first time and that he wouldn’t hurt me.
He said whenever he comes back and sleeps with me, he would give me a handkerchief to clean my private part because he wants to see what the blood looks like after disvirgining me. But I lied to him about being a virgin. Please, I need advice. I didn’t come here to ask whether I should do it or not. I’m not interested in such and I never will be. I have blocked him everywhere, but he keeps using different numbers to text me, and I keep blocking every number because he has been threatening me every single day, even though he knows what he did was so wrong. I have all the evidence. My parents are ready to take action, but I really need to know how to go about it. How can we do that? Blocking him everywhere should have been enough, but he keeps threatening me day by day, so I need to do something. Please, I wrote this story to seek help. What can I do, and how should we handle this matter? Is it the police or somewhere else? I don’t want this matter to end just like that because he will definitely continue doing this to other girls in the family. I have my evidence. Where can I present it? Can I fight this?
