Please, I need advice concerning my new relationship. It’s just three months old, and my girlfriend decided to tell me about her past. It’s been disturbing me ever since she told me. She was deceived into travelling to Dubai when she was 19 by a close family friend in the hope of working in a salon over there. On getting there, she found out it was prostitution work. She was disvirgined over there by three men and was forced to do the prostitution work for five months before she escaped and was rescued by an organisation and brought back to Nigeria. The people who took her there were arrested and sent to jail, but I just can’t get it off my mind because I do love her, and this relationship was leading to something very serious. However, I don’t think I can get married to a girl who did prostitution in another country, knowingly or unknowingly, because I’m from a very respectable and well to do family. If they ever find out about this, they would never accept her. Please, I need advice. The relationship is getting very serious, or should I just end it all now?
