Hi, currently while typing this, I am in a hotel with my newly married ex boyfriend. Please do not judge me first, I am a girl’s girl, but it is complicated here. My ex and I have been dating for over five years right from our university days, and our relationship was nothing other than the best. We knew we could marry because we were compatible in all ways. Early last year, we went to see his mum, and she totally disagreed, saying she does not like Delta girls. He tried persuading her, but it seems she had her plans. One thing led to another, and we broke up around February. I had to leave Abuja to come to Lagos to hustle, and I was doing fine. Around August, I heard he was getting married in November, and I cannot lie, I was hurt, but I was happy for him. I got a call one Saturday from a random number, and it was him. I was surprised, and he asked me to come pick him up around Sangotedo. I wanted to question him, but he seemed serious, so I took my car there. Getting there, he looked really shattered and dressed in his wedding outfit.
We drove to a lounge in Ikoyi, got there, booked a room, and that was when I started asking him questions. Instead of answering, he heated up the conversation, and we had s€x. After that, he started talking, saying his mum linked him with the other lady, and one thing led to another and she was pregnant, which prompted the wedding, only for him to find out on the wedding day that the pregnancy belongs to his friend. At first, I did not believe him, but seeing the calls from his family, the girl, and friends made me start to believe him. He even listened to a voice note of the girl begging him that she could explain. We were together for over a week, and I cannot lie, it was my best because he is all I have always wanted. Recently, we are planning to travel out for a while, just somewhere to unwind, because to him he is never going back to the girl, and his mum is the last person he wants to see. The only person that knows we are together is his brother, who has always been my guy. Now this is it, as sweet as it is now, I feel I am doing something bad or awful.
But at the same time, this would have been my wedding if his mum did not interfere, and I do not want mother-in-law trouble in my life. Please advise me, should I go on with our relationship or cut him off because of the lady? And please note, we have been having back-to-back unprotected s€x because he said he wants a baby. I do not want to leave him, and I do not want to be another woman’s trouble. And what is the bad thing about Delta girls?
