This is me, not the glam, not the smiles, just the reality. I’ve been in the wig business for years now. I make braided wigs, I revamp, style, and bring old wigs back to life. I’ve worked hard to build something from nothing. But honestly, life in Lagos hasn’t been easy. Days turn into weeks with no sales. Messages get ignored. People I thought would support disappeared. No business deals, no new customers, sometimes not even a single inquiry. It’s a silence that can make you question everything. I wake up every day, push myself to create, post, market, and smile, but deep down, it hurts because behind every pretty wig I post is someone fighting to keep their dream alive. Lagos is tough, the hustle is real. There are days I feel invisible, like all my efforts are going unnoticed. But even in those quiet, painful moments, I remind myself why I started. I’m not sharing this for pity, I’m sharing it because many of us are going through the same thing but keeping quiet. If you’ve ever felt this way, just know you’re not alone. One day, all this hard work will speak for itself. Until then, I’ll keep going.
