I met a girl last year. We were friends, then later on we both got feelings for each other and everything was going smoothly. I began to gift, care for, shelter her and treated her like my own girlfriend, like we were in a relationship. The relationship she was in was abusive or toxic. The guy she is dating always questions her about any friend he sees her with, both male and female. She cannot go out unless the guy says so. Even if the guy is not in the same city with her, when she is conversing with her friends she will say her boyfriend said she should not go. Because of what the guy has done to her, out of seven years of relationship this guy cheated on her with another girl for five to six years while she was loyal. This girl has trauma and cries about it every single time she remembers. The guy will not let any guy be close to her, maybe so she does not tell her female friends who might advise her otherwise or make her see that there are better men outside. I was trying to do things her guy is not doing just to make her rethink that there are other people out there. I always care for her and will treat her better. One thing led to another and we developed feelings for each other.
She rated me over the guy, but they are still dating and she visits the guy many times that I know. I am always the one trying to make her happy when the other one brings issues, because almost every time it is wahala. We got to a point where we treated each other like we were dating and we did everything done in a relationship except sex. She would not let me do that, she said she cannot because she is still dating and she cannot cheat. She says she wants to leave the guy when another issue happens, but right now I feel like an option or like this is a love scam. We are at the stage where if she says yes, we start dating, but she said I should give her more time because she has high hopes on the guy and wants to marry him before I came into the picture. So right now, I need your advice on this. Make I no dey put mind on something that will not still work out.
