Hi guys, please I need your honest opinions. I’ve been dating my guy for over three years now, and everything has been going smoothly between us. Recently, my parents asked me about him, and we had a serious conversation about our relationship and the possibility of marriage. Unfortunately, they didn’t approve of us getting married—not because of anything he did in particular, but because of our zodiac signs. According to them, I’m a fire sign, and he’s a water sign, which they believe will clash spiritually and affect us negatively in the long run.
They said it could block my financial growth or even make me less useful in life if I go ahead with the marriage. Honestly, this has been eating me up. I didn’t tell him immediately because I was confused and didn’t want to hurt him. But eventually, I opened up to him. His response was calm—he said he doesn’t believe in such things, but since it’s coming from my parents, he doesn’t know what to do either. His own parents aren’t really into things like zodiac signs, so they don’t see it as a big deal.
Now I feel completely stuck. The only thing standing between us is this zodiac sign issue. I’m torn between love and my parents’ beliefs.
