How do you truly start over after leaving an abus$ive relationship with kids, no job, and nothing but hope? I managed to rent a small shop, praying it would be my fresh start—but there’s no money to stock it, just an empty space and the weight of responsibility. People say, “Ask him. It’s your right.” But how do I keep going back to someone who hurt me, just to beg? He only sends money when he feels like. No stability, no concern, just control. My mum has been helping me, even when she doesn’t have much. My family loves me, but they’re struggling too. I don’t want to add my burden to theirs. They’ve carried me enough. So I ask again, how do you start from nothing, as a mother, tired and trying to protect your peace, without breaking the people who are still standing by you? I want better for my children. I want to rebuild. But where do I even begin?
