Hey Rant family, good evening. I’m just having a troubled mind dealing with someone that owes me money. We met on Instagram. He’s a footballer. We became friends for over three to four years. We were close and discussed so many things, family stuff, so that you could know how close we were. He was nice to me, I wouldn’t even lie, and I was nice to him too. I was always there for him when he was down, supporting him emotionally and financially (vice versa). So one day he came to me to loan him some money (₦300,000). I didn’t even think twice to loan him because that’s not the first time I’ve loaned him money, and he would even send it back with interest. The ₦300,000 was meant to be for just two weeks before he would return it with interest as he promised. Two weeks turned into one month. We were still talking and I understood his plight because I knew he wasn’t like that. After a while, he chatted me up that one of his friends needed funds and would return it the following day (₦500,000), that I should please help him. He promised to return the ₦500,000 the following morning. I said okay, no problem.
I still trusted him because of the cordial relationship we had. The following morning, he said the guy hadn’t gotten back to him, and that was how we went for about a week before he came up with the narrative that the guy blocked him after he pestered him to pay up his debt. He told me not to worry, that he would send it. I said no wahala. I still had hope in him. Not until I was really down, so broke, I had to be calling him and sending him messages for like two to three months. This boy wouldn’t reply. I called him tirelessly; he wouldn’t pick up. He’s currently in Nigeria right now, and because of the money, he doesn’t want me to know he’s around. I don’t know where he lives or any of his family members. I’m getting frustrated already. Firstly, I cherish our relationship, which is why I’m writing this, but he chose to ignore me. He would post on his story and still ignore my messages. I even went ahead to comment on his post so that he would know I’m serious. This one deleted my comment and still ignored my messages. He’s a public figure, and I know he might see this post. Send me my money. I’ve tried enough. It’s going to a year now.
