Good day, everyone. I just want to rant. I’m a university student and a new nail tech. I just launched my business last month. Honestly, it’s not what I was expecting. Business is slow. I didn’t realize how oversaturated nail techs were, especially in my school area (Benin). I have not gotten up to five paid services. Everybody just wants to model. Before I started the business, during training, most of my friends and coursemates were asking me to make nails for them, but now that I’ve officially started charging, none of them are meeting me again. My price is also very cheap, and I’m good. People always compliment my work (I make my nails myself). I’ve put a lot into this—mentally and financially. For training and products, I’ve spent close to N400k, if not more. I’m beginning to regret learning this. I could have chosen another thing. I just hope things get better. I’ll continue to pray and advertise my business. Hopefully, things get better.
