I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for the past 8 months, and I’ve been loyal and transparent with him, but the issue here is this guy has trust issues and he doesn’t seem to believe whatever I say. Even if I explain and try to be platonic with him, he still doubts me. I’ve been calm about it and I feel with time he’ll understand I’m not being cunning. I felt it might just be his past experience that’s making him that way. The relationship has been a long-distance relationship for the past 6 months due to some reasons. The last time we were together was January. We’ve always had conversations on the phone, though we have issues sometimes and we find a way to sort it out after. So I decided to come visit him. I decided to help him fold his clothes and keep them in the wardrobe while he was away. Then something caught my attention. While doing that, I saw a ring case containing a ring in his wardrobe. I’m so confused because this guy is heavy on not being ready to settle down this year or next.
He said I should give him like 3–4 years, which I’m cool with because he explained some things to me. So what could the ring be about? I’ve been having mixed feelings and I can’t confront him because I don’t want him to start thinking I’m searching his house. It’s been heavy on my mind but I’ve been pretending I didn’t see anything. Again this evening, I was about to see a movie on Netflix on his TV when I realized his ex-girlfriend’s name was on the profile of his Netflix. Could it be this man is cheating on me or something? I can’t think straight tbh. I just need y’all sincere advice, please. I’m 25 and I can’t just imagine wasting years again with someone that’s not mine.
