A few years ago, I shared a story here about my then-girlfriend (now my ex) and me considering a long-distance relationship. We had just finished school and were about to face real life. Like I said before, and I’ll say it again: a long-distance relationship without money almost always fails. Some of you advised me to give it a shot, it might work. Well, I did. And just as I predicted, “love” wasn’t enough. We simply didn’t have the finances to do what needed to be done. I was willing to tough it out until things got better, but she wasn’t. She broke up with me. It hurt, and I was angry, but that’s all in the past now. One thing’s for sure, I’m never stepping into another relationship broke, let alone a long-distance one.
