I met this guy at a mall in 2023. He stays abroad (Turkey) and is from Edo State. His name is Emmy. We’ve only seen once before he left back to the country, and since then we’ve been communicating, and this guy has helped me so well. We are not dating, but just on a friendship level. Earlier this year, this guy and I talked till midnight, and the next day, as opposed to seeing his good morning message, I saw none. I texted him, but it was sent and not delivered. He’s off IG, Instagram, and all his socials. And yes, he didn’t block me. I don’t know anyone, no friends, I don’t even know his surname. All the money he has sent me was not directly from him but through his bank manager or so (so I thought) as they carried different names. He’s not in Nigeria. What could be happening? Is he safe? This guy is always online 24/7, so he’s not someone that could just leave his socials. He didn’t lose his phone because he would have replaced it. It’s been 3 months now. He doesn’t post. He only posts news on his IG—just one picture of him.
Someone said I should check his comment section to see any clue like “RIP” or so, but no, his comment section is still empty as usual—just likes. Has anyone experienced this? I just want to be sure he’s safe, that’s all. It’s been 3 months now but I’m so scared and worried. How could someone just disappear? Has anyone experienced this? I’m so confused. I’d really appreciate anyone who can suggest what I can do.
