My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year, but not at a stretch though. We broke up around April last year, and then he came back begging for us to come back around August. Later on, on his phone, I found out that the same time he was trying for us to get back together, he was texting his ex he dated before me and was trying to get her to come to his house. Although he didn’t talk about getting back with her. Now, since we got back together, we’ve had issues on two occasions that he hit me.
The first hit was just a slap, but the second one was multiple slaps because he saw a chat/call I made with another boy for a long time. He apologized, saying he won’t do it again. But I’m skeptical about continuing the relationship because honestly, I don’t think I can be with a person that hits me. Even though he claims he’ll never try it again, I’m scared that he will. And what if he doesn’t do it in the relationship and waits till maybe if we get married to continue?
