My girlfriend is breaking up with me because she asked me to help her go and watch, cater for, and run errands for her male friend who had an accident. This person in question is a family man who happens to be her friend. To begin with, she knows that I don’t fancy or like this said man, then she had to ask me to go and do the awkward thing just because she wasn’t around. Mind you, the man is not a family member or in any way related to her. I am a 29-year-old grown man for Christ’s sake. At least a little respect or regard for me shouldn’t be too much to ask. Because I refused to “help” her, she’s breaking up with me and calling it “inconsiderate.” Am I the only one that sees something wrong with that request? And did I do wrong by refusing to be belittled? And is that enough reason to want to end things? Was it right of her to make such a request?
