I’ve been seeing rooms or mini flats going for ₦10M or more for a lease of over 10 years, while yearly rent costs more than ₦1M. I have the money, but I can’t lie—renting an apartment for over ₦1M on the mainland feels off, especially when it’s just a self-contained room, simply because it comes with POP. Secondly, would you advise buying a flat in a building—like a room or a 2-bedroom apartment for ₦50M–₦70M—or just saving up to buy a whole building? I have about ₦50M saved, but I need a place and don’t know how to go about it because houses are too expensive.
