I met this guy through a friend of mine on WhatsApp. We started dating last year—long-distance relationship. He is based in Lagos, and I am based in Delta State. This month is our one-year anniversary. Ever since I started dating this guy, the highest amount of money he has given me is N3K. November 20 was my birthday, and he did not even send me any gift or money. All his family members know me and see me as his wife, although we are not yet married. I’m tired and really need your advice. Anytime I go there for a visit, I’m always the one paying for my transport.
Coming back, he will pay for my transport but won’t give me any money to eat on the way or extra money for upkeep. Getting to his house, I will still be the one to feed myself. To the extent that I borrowed money from a loan app to feed us! This guy is working—not even salary work; he makes money daily. I don’t know why he doesn’t like spending money on me. He said he’s not dating anyone except me, so who is he spending his money on? I’m really confused. Should I break up with him? Please, I really need this advice.
