I’m going through a tough time in my relationship. Yesterday, I visited a male friend’s house because my boyfriend and I were having issues. I just needed someone to talk to and clear my head. Nothing romantic or inappropriate happened between us. However, when my boyfriend found out, he accused me of cheating and started beating me. I tried to explain that nothing happened, but he wouldn’t listen. He even went through my phone and saw my chats with the man, who confirmed that nothing happened between us. Despite this, my boyfriend claims that going to another man’s house is a form of cheating, and he’s breaking up with me. He’s been controlling and possessive, not letting me go out or visit my own family without him. I love him, but I don’t know how to deal with this situation. I feel trapped and unsure of what to do. Please, I need advice on how to move forward.
