I have been dating this guy for almost a year now, and we have never gone out on a date—just the two of us. It’s always group outings. I h8te crowds. It’ll be like six of his friends with their girlfriends, all of us walking up and down like Moses and the Israelites. Everyone will be dragging their legs like lost puppies, waiting for someone to suggest where to go or what to do. If I suggest something to my boyfriend, just the two of us, he’ll decline if his friends don’t want to do it. It’s embarrassing—grown adults! One couple even went on their own to do their own stuff, but my boyfriend would never. He does this every time.
We’ll go to a restaurant, and they’ll first drive to each other’s houses one after the other so they can do convoy and pull up together. We’ll be like 20 people walking in together. We’ll then stand somewhere, waiting for a table. We’ll get there, and my boyfriend will be acting like he doesn’t know me. I’m tired. They’re always in his house every day. Because of this, one of them almost saw me naked. Or he’ll go to their houses. I’m not sure my boyfriend and I have ever spent up to five hours just chilling, discussing our lives, or anything. He’ll just pop in and go back. I’ll leave my house to come and visit him, and he can’t even spend three hours with me. But if I leave, he’ll get angry. What do I do?
