Early last year, I was supposed to travel to the UK for a new beginning, but things didn’t go as planned, and I lost almost everything—two cars, my unfinished house, everything I’d worked for. My hope was to create a better life for my future kids so they could grow up in a stable environment. Now, though, I’m back to square one, starting over with almost nothing. This setback has hit me hard. And it still feels like a huge weight. I feel like I’m carrying so much regret and disappointment, and it’s even affecting my relationship with my wife, though she’s been understanding.
I’m 28, turning 29 this year, and I can’t shake the feeling that I made a huge mistake. It’s been tough finding any joy, and I feel totally broke. If anyone has been through something similar, I’d love to hear how you managed to come out the other side. How did you pick yourself up and find hope again? Thanks for listening, and I appreciate any advice or words of encouragement you can share.
