So, what happened is that I’m a guy, and I have a girlfriend. We’ve been together for a few years now, and I’m the type of guy who doesn’t like seeing my girlfriend do all the chores, especially washing clothes. Whenever she’s cooking or busy, I just take my clothes and hers to wash because I don’t see my partner as a slave. Cool. I couldn’t afford a washing machine, so I used my bare hands to wash the clothes.
Later on, she got pregnant, so I managed to buy a washing machine to ease the stress. But the issue is, now that she’s pregnant, I took full responsibility. Whatever she wants, I make sure I do everything for her. I go to work and come back at night, but all the clothes she’s been wearing, she won’t even wash them, not to talk of mine. The only thing she does is cook for me, but whenever she says she’s tired, I tell her not to cook, and I’ll sort myself out. It got worse.
Now, she doesn’t sweep or do anything. I do almost everything after I come back from work. I’ve complained to her that she needs to start doing chores because pregnancy doesn’t stop you from doing little things. Funniest part: I haven’t had sex in the past 4 months. Anytime I initiate sex, she declines, but I understand her ssituation. I made it clear today in her presence that I don’t think I can marry her because all this is a red flag for me.
I can’t keep doing everything, and the only thing I ask her to do is just chores, but she doesn’t change. I just need to know if it’s the right thing to break up, even though she’s carrying my baby. I’m just confused. I need your opinions.
