I was at the gym reception this morning when a lady and her friend came in. One of them said, “Wow, this place smells so nice,” while talking to her friend. The other replied, “Oh, their air freshener is good.” Then, the receptionist softly remarked, “Oh no, it’s probably the person standing (me),” but the ladies didn’t hear and walked into the gym. I just wanted to know: is this a compliment or something else? I was wearing a very expensive cologne, but someone mistaking it for air freshener—does this mean it’s bad or just normal?
