I met this guy on Tinder in May, and we’ve been getting along for some months now. The first day we met, I went to meet him in a hotel where he lodged. We had a good time together and got to know each other better. Along the line, we started dating. My problem is, for 5 months now that I’ve been dating this guy, we’ve been meeting in different hotels. Anytime I emphasize knowing his house, he comes up with excuses, saying he lives with his parents and that I should exercise patience because he’s getting his own apartment soon. I understand and have been waiting patiently for that. Secondly, anytime this guy wants to send me money, he doesn’t send more than N3k, N5k, or N10k. If I fight him, saying the money is small, that’s when he will send N15k or N20k to me. All along, I’ve been keeping my cool, and it’s not like he doesn’t have money.
It’s a few days to my birthday, and he’s been quiet. He’s not even talking about sending me money or doing anything for me. The day I told him I wanted to pick my hair and get my birthday wears on the Island, I thought he would transfer money to me, but my boyfriend was quiet all through. This is a guy for whom I’ve already written down plans for his birthday on Dec. 10. My bestie and I are planning for that day. Yesterday, I broke my silence and poured out my mind to him on the phone. He didn’t even let me finish talking and said we’d talk better in the morning. To cut the long story short, the next day, he chatted me and asked about my movement because I was having my birthday photoshoot. I told him, and he ended up sending me N12k for my birthday. Please, y’all should help me—what can I buy with N12k? I feel so heartbroken and shocked. I’m still confused, y’all.
