I have been dating someone for one year and ten months. Our relationship has been loving, but two major issues bother me. First, when we argue, he never apologizes, even when he’s clearly in the wrong. He can go four days without texting to say sorry, leaving me to apologize out of sheer exhaustion. Second, he doesn’t help me physically. He’ll watch me struggle with heavy items and won’t offer any assistance, saying, “People will think I’m weak because I’m with a woman.” During every quarrel, he threatens to break up and constantly tells me to leave his house (I have my own place) whenever I’m there, and we have issues. I’m tired and plan to walk away from the relationship, but I need reassurance and advice to feel confident in my decision to leave.
