I started dating this guy last February. Note: He scams for a living. Fast forward to four months ago—I met a guy who does forex. This forex guy is serious about me and wants to meet my parents soon because he’s leaving the country in December. The guy I’ve been dating for a year noticed I became cold towards him, which is true because I don’t see myself getting married to a scammer, especially since he hasn’t even talked about meeting my parents. This guy bought me a new phone and sent me N300k, and I took it.
I told the forex guy that the phone belonged to my sister and she wanted to sell it, and he gave me the money for it. He takes care of me, and so does the other guy, especially at the start of the relationship. Now, the forex guy is going to meet my parents next week, and I don’t know how to tell the other guy, especially since he promised me more money. I feel bad taking things from him, knowing I won’t end up with him because he’s a scammer. His online girlfriend is even planning their wedding in November, not knowing he’s a scammer. Should I collect the money or not? 🥲
