I am 23 years old, and my boyfriend is 34. We’ve been dating for over a year, almost two. Three months ago, I found out he was married. I went on his Facebook (he doesn’t use it), searched his mutuals, and discovered his family. When I confronted him, he apologized and said they were getting divorced, which was why he didn’t tell me. Two weeks later, he showed me divorce papers and said he wanted to marry me. I confirmed it on his ex-wife’s Facebook, where she posted about their divorce. Fast forward to last month, he went through my phone and found a conversation where I was responding to another guy’s flirts, although I never met him.
Since then, he’s been cold toward me. I’ve begged and begged, but it hasn’t worked. I was already considering breaking up with him because I lost trust after he lied about being married, but I stayed, hoping to rebuild the trust. Now he’s mad at me for “betraying” him, while I didn’t react like this when he betrayed me. Should I keep begging him for forgiveness, or should I just accept it and let him go? I want your honest judgment on this situation.
