I met this Yoruba guy online, and we started chatting yesterday. It was nice. I told him I was supposed to hang out with a friend that day but couldn’t anymore because I had loosened my hair and all that. He responded, “Ahhh, hope you won’t stand me up ooo.” I laughed and said, “No, not at all.” Today he called me, and we got talking. I told him I was planning to hang out with that same friend, but since it started raining, I didn’t think I could go anymore. He replied, “Ahhh, if you stand me up, that will be the last time you’ll hear from me.” I asked if that was a threat, and he said no, that it wasn’t a threat, just that I wouldn’t hear from him again. I said, “Okay,” and didn’t respond further.
Then my Bolt driver called me, so I put his WhatsApp call on hold to answer the driver. When I came back on the line, he didn’t say anything for about 20 minutes, even as I went outside to meet my Bolt driver, so I eventually ended the call. He later called me back, saying, “You put my call on hold.” I explained that my Bolt driver had called, but he repeated the same thing three times. I was confused—should my Bolt driver not have called me? Then he started saying that I was rude and began talking trash. I couldn’t understand what was happening anymore. Anyway, he’s a walking time bomb. Good riddance.
