Something happened early this year that caused a problem between my boyfriend and I, and we eventually broke up. However, we stayed around each other because we were still in love; it was just a misunderstanding. Before the breakup, we were already planning his Japa for his MSC, and I was involved in everything because he planned to take me along. But at some point, because of the expenses, I just told him to go alone, and we would work hard in our respective locations for me to join him later. Fast forward to after the breakup, things were not easy at all. It got to a point where our mothers got involved to remedy the situation because everyone knew how much we loved each other.
A few weeks before his travel, we got all lovey-dovey again. We spent time together, even went on a date, and more. He came to see my mom before he left, and we spent the remaining two days before his travel at his family’s house. His family has been everything I want in in-laws (Guys, when praying for a good man, also pray for good in-laws. They will make life and marriage easy and sweet for you). A day before he traveled, he raised the topic of how I felt about us, and I told him I was confused about whether we were back together officially. He wasn’t specific, though, and kept saying we would meet soon, and I shouldn’t forget him.
He confessed many times that he still loves me, and I’m obviously still in love with him too. We cried a lot that night and in the morning when he left. I asked him if we were trying to fix things, and he only said “obviously” but didn’t define it. I even asked if I should move on, but he said he didn’t want me to, that we would meet soon. He’s carrying me along with everything he’s doing, but I’m still confused because he didn’t define anything. I love this guy and everything that comes with him, but at the same time, I don’t want to hurt myself. What do you guys think? I just need opinions to be sure I’m on the right track or if there are questions I need to ask him to be sure.
