I was raped at the age of 18 by my male friend. I didn’t know I was going to get pregnant because I was a virgin then and wasn’t aware of the signs. My stomach was growing, but not noticeably, so I just thought I was bloated. After months, I found out I was 14 weeks pregnant. I was fortunate to have a successful abortion. I told only one close friend about it, and no one else knows. I have strict parents, and they would be really disappointed because I’m in university. Since then, I haven’t been myself. I cry myself to sleep, I’ve gained weight, and I’ve been having severe back pains, a dark neck, and memory issues. I’m close to being depressed because I never saw it coming. It’s been really difficult for me, but I believe God will take control.
