My boyfriend and I have been dating for over two years now. He’s a good guy and always takes care of me. I got into university this year, and he helped me purchase all my textbooks and everything I needed for school. However, along the way, things got tough for him, and he couldn’t provide anything, not even data. But I still love him, and I’m not going to leave him because I believe that everything in life takes time. Yesterday, he got angry at me because a male friend of mine subscribed my phone when I didn’t have data.
I tried explaining that I didn’t ask him because I know how things are for him, and I didn’t want to put him under pressure. So, I asked my male friend, who is also my coursemate (someone he knows I would never have anything romantic with). To avoid relying on male friends, I thought I shouldn’t get a job. I don’t want my boyfriend to be upset, especially now that things are like this. I don’t want him to feel inadequate when he’s already done so much for me.
