I started dating this guy last November, towards my birthday. Fast forward to this year, and we’ve been having issues back to back, but we always manage to make things right. That was until he went through my Instagram and started reading texts from guys I messaged before I met him. Now, he keeps using my past against me. I won’t say he doesn’t love me; he does everything to make me happy in his little way.
But each time we have a disagreement, he brings up my past, even though he promised to stop. It’s frustrating because I’ve seen things he said about me when we started dating, but I forgave him, telling myself it was just “guys’ talk”. Now, he doesn’t talk about me with his friends anymore, but he keeps reminding me of my past. I’m not perfect, and neither is he. He gets angry over little things, but I still stick with him because I don’t want to start over with someone else.
I love him so much, and he loves me too, though he doesn’t always express his feelings. Lately, he’s been going out with his male friends, and I know he’s not cheating because I check his phone, but he keeps things to himself. I asked where he went, and he refused to tell me. I got upset and left his house because I was sick and need attention, yet he just slept through it. He didn’t even stop me when I left his place.
Please advise me—what stage is this? What should I do to make things right?
