I’m writing this as I’m crying. My 4-year relationship is gone already. I’ve been dating this particular girl for the past 4 years, and everything was going smoothly. She cheated on me once, and I forgave her just because of the love I have for her. She is in school. She went home for a holiday, and she started giving me distance. I asked her, and she said everything is cool, she’s just busy. Okay. Fast forward to this week. This girl told me she is not interested anymore—that her mom’s friend came to meet her mom, and they should marry their children of them together, in this modern world. I’ve been sad all day, but I don’t know what to do again. She said she loves me but needs to follow her mom’s decision—that they said they would stop sponsoring her school stuff if she doesn’t follow their decision, and she doesn’t know what to do. Should I just let go? I’m confused. I don’t know what to do again. I’ve been lonely and sad since she told me that.
