I have a girlfriend that I love, but I’m scared of getting married. Firstly, we were friends for a couple of months until we started dating, and we’ve dated for about four months now. I can proudly say she is 100%. But prior to dating her, I never planned on getting married because I’m 25, and she is 29. My plan was to keep grinding until 30 before I start a family, because I am very intentional about my kids’ future. However, she also wants to get married ASAP because age is not on her side, but I’m not ready yet.
I was vulnerable enough to tell her, and she said she loves me and wants me to fix it. Truthfully, getting married now will interfere with my entire plan that I have been following for the past three years of my life, and I feel like I might resent her in the future if things go south because she hastened me. Please, I need your advice. I’ve dated three girls in my life, but this girl is gold, and I’m scared of losing her.
