50/50 Cheating

I have been dating my boyfriend for three years now. We don’t live in the same state, but we make sure to see each other every month. We talk every second and minute. He’s a very nice guy—calm, kind, and very supportive. He cooks, cleans, and works hard. You know when a guy is 80/100, yeah? Last year, I came to visit him as usual, and I checked his phone. By the way, I hadn’t checked his phone in the three years we’ve been together, and he doesn’t check mine. So, I checked and saw he had cheated on me with one girl. I checked his phone to see if there was more, but it was just her.

Though he made it clear to her that it was only sex he was after, and after that, he told her they should end it. I saw it and kept quiet. I went back to my state because that’s where I work. I told him what I saw, and he apologized and promised it wasn’t going to happen again. Anyway, after the apology, the next day I went out to cheat too, then I came back and told him I forgave him. Sprinkle, sprinkle. I’ve never cheated before, but I was shocked at what I saw. Surprisingly, I wasn’t even mad or upset. We got back together, and we’ve been good since then. My birthday was last week, and he showered me with gifts as usual.

He has always been talking about settling down with me, but now I’m scared to settle with him. Will the cheating continue? Because I can’t keep paying him back with cheating every time he does it (note: he doesn’t know I cheated back, though). To my girlies, if you have a guy who’s almost perfect but cheated on you once, will you leave, or will you stay? Please advise. Sprinkle, sprinkle.
